Gulfstream Gear was founded in 1981 by an avid boater, who was also a creative artist with a great talent for combining art and signage for boats. Driven by a love for boating, he first began carving customized wood signs for yachts in Long Island, New York. As a leader in the industry, Gulfstream Gear was the first sign company to create vinyl signs for boaters.
